Chris was born and raised in Oak Cliff, Texas then attended high school in Desoto, Texas. He played in many bands growing up teaching himself to play guitar, drums and bass by watching others. Chris hit the club scene around the age of sixteen with his home town rock bands. In his early 20’s he was head lining clubs in Dallas, Texas. Chris also traveled outside of Texas and began to receive radio play in several markets. Chris can also be seen in a music video which aired around the world for Blockbuster, VH1 and MTV. Chris slowed his schedule down to bike shows and a few local club dates in 2005-2006.
On March 15th, 2006 Chris’ life changed. He was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). In terrible pain and damage to his hands and feet, Music was the last thought on his mind. With the possibility of being confined to a wheel chair and without full use of his hands, Plans started to change. Chris’ guitar case didn’t open for nearly a year. Learning to use his hands different than he had been used to was both frustrating and rewarding. Chris also took small strides in walking. Balance issues and the constant feeling of broken bones in the bottom of his feet were slowly getting better. The numbness in his fingers was his first hurdle when he did go back to his guitar. It was like learning to play all over again by sight and without the feel. Not knowing the amount of pressure being applied to the strings made playing time limited due to the damage the strings would cause to the skin.
Things improved quite a bit for Chris until he had a relapse early in 2008. After 5 months he was back to normal with minimal pain and discomfort. Chris has completed his first solo cd titled “Never the Plan” which is available on Itunes and this website. Chris has also completed a book about his fight with multiple sclerosis due out around the first of 2009. Chris is currently working on his follow up cd to “Never the Plan” scheduled for a summer 2009 release date.
